Phil Chidester's vast experience includes gigs with Disciples of Soul (Asheville,NC,1969); Field Effect (Palo Alto,CA, 1973-80); Expresso (Palo Alto, 1980-85); Bluesprint (Austin,1986-87) W.C. Clarke Blues Revue (Austin,1988-90); Carlos Thompson Band (Austin,1990-94); Patty David Band (Austin,1994-1995); Delltones (Austin, 1996 -); Dena Parmer and the Sassy Cats(Austin, 1997-99); Loaded Dice (Austin, 1995-); Blue Note Trio (Austin, 1995-); Elliott Fikes and Soul Serenade (Austin, 2000- 2003); Loose Shoes (Austin 2004 - ); Alibi (Austin 2004 -). 

Phil's studio experience has resulted in:

Phil's original, copyrighted compositions include: "Telluride Falls";  "All in Living"; "Found the Girl"; "Main Squeeze"; "Come and Go with Me";  "Me and He"; "Turn Your Frown Upside Down".

Phil lists his main influences as Lyle Mays, Jimmy Smith, Otis Spann, Ray Charles, and Herbie Hancock. 

Phil worked with John Lee Hooker's backup band and opened for Albert King, The Dregs, Taj Mahal and Stevie Ray Vaughn and has been featured on several Austin music television specials. Phil was also on keyboards when the DellTones won the Austin, TX High Tech Battle of the Bands in 1998.
